SEO content map
Plan topics as pillars and clusters.
Plan your topics as pillars with supporting clusters. Findings link back to the article or landing page that should cover them, so planning and production stay connected.
How the map is structured
- A map belongs to a headless page, and pillars sit inside it.
- Each pillar has article plans, each with the role of pillar article or cluster article.
- Each pillar has exactly one pillar article.
- Clusters can nest up to five levels deep: Pillar, Cluster, Sub-cluster and so on.
Building a map
- 1Open SEO Content Map and select the headless page.
- 2Add a pillar with Create Pillar, or Create Pillar + child Cluster.
- 3Use Add article plan to add the articles that support the pillar.
- 4Keywords found in the SEO Engine can be brought in all at once with Save to SEO Map.
From plan to production
- Write with AI creates an AI draft from an article plan.
- Attach published article links an existing article to a plan.
- Open in Pipeline opens the plan in the production pipeline.
- The side panel shows brief completeness, and you can plan internal links between articles.
Views and statuses
- Views: Silo ring, Branching tree, Hierarchy tree and Article table.
- Article plan statuses: planned, brief ready, generated, edited, draft, published, needs review, archived.
- Pillar statuses: planning, in progress, partially published, published, archived.
Automation schedules pick topics from the cluster article plans in the site's SEO content map. Keeping the map up to date improves what gets generated.
