Channels

WordPress multi-site and social publishing.

Connect WordPress sites for direct multi-site publishing, and Facebook / Instagram for social. Each channel is tied to a market and language, so each market can target its own set of channels.

Sites versus channels

  • Sites: where content is stored, each with its own public URL. You set a name, site code, market, suggested language, Frontend Base URL (Headless) and a public API key.
  • WordPress channels: the WordPress accounts used as publish destinations, not where content is stored.
  • Social media channels: the accounts you post to, such as Facebook and Instagram.
A site code cannot be changed after the site is created, so choose it carefully.

Publishing to WordPress

  1. 1Open the WordPress publish settings in the editor.
  2. 2Choose draft or publish as the publish status.
  3. 3Use Load WP categories to fetch the WordPress categories and assign them, and set the language.
  4. 4Publish to WordPress. If you change the article later, push the change with Update WP.

WordPress sync lets you view posts on the WordPress side and import them into tixigen. WordPress connections are configured by an admin, who manages integrations.

Connecting social channels

  1. 1An admin opens Social media channels in the workspace settings.
  2. 2Use + Add channel to set the display name, channel, market and language, then activate it.
  3. 3For Facebook, connect your Facebook account and choose the Page to post to.

Running social posts

  • Social queue: review posts, then post now or move them back to draft.
  • Social sets: save groups of channels so you can cross-post in one go.
  • Autopost rules: post when a web article is published. Conditions can include category, tags, minimum word count and a required cover image, with a delay in hours and a daily cap.
  • Release schedule: manage multi-channel posting and post automatically when each slot comes due.
Before posting to Facebook, make sure a Page is selected. Posts cannot go out without one.
