FAQ
What does "Normalize" change?
Full-width letters and digits become half-width, and half-width katakana becomes full-width. Where 。 and ., ! and !, or () and () are mixed, it switches to whichever form the text uses more. Full-width kana, kanji and full-width spaces are left as they are.
Will it alter English phrases or URLs?
Punctuation and ! / ? are only counted right after Japanese characters, so URLs and English phrases stay as they are.
How is reading time calculated?
It is an estimate based on about 500 characters per minute, excluding spaces and line breaks.
