<link rel="alternate" hreflang="ja-JP" href="https://example.com/pricing" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="https://example.com/en/pricing" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="x-default" href="https://example.com/pricing" />
Place the same full set of tags on every language version (they must reference each other).
Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded.
How to use
- 1Enter your site's base URL and the page path.
- 2Pick a preset (Japan: ja-JP and en, or VN · PH · ID) or add and edit language codes and path prefixes, then choose which version is x-default.
- 3Copy the tags and paste the same set into the <head> of every language version.
When it helps
- Running Japanese and English versions, or pages for several countries and regions.
- Producing tags that follow a per-market URL structure (/vn, /vn/en, etc.) without manual typos.
FAQ
What is hreflang?
It is an attribute that tells search engines a page has versions for different languages or regions, helping them show users the right version in search results.
What does x-default mean?
It marks the fallback page for users who match none of the listed locales, typically a language selector or global version. In this tool you choose which version's URL becomes x-default.
Do all language versions need the same tags?
Yes. hreflang must be reciprocal: each version should list every version, including itself, or search engines may ignore the tags.
